Who We Are

Many Peoples Church is located in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. We are a small but growing group of Christians of different ages, backgrounds and cultures who seek to find common ground in the Church and our shared commitment to our community.

Growing out of John Hoekwater’s community development work in Rogers Park, Many Peoples Church first met for worship in January of 2006. The original members joined together over their desire to belong to a church that was deeply committed to their neighborhood and firmly rooted in the Reformed tradition of Christianity.

Many Peoples Church has grown steadily since then, and God continues to bless us with new people at our gatherings and larger, more visible places to join together for worship and fellowship. You can currently find us on Morse Avenue in the heart of Rogers Park.

As a church we are constantly learning about each other, our community, and what it means to be the Church in a multicultural world. We would love to have you join with us and be a part of shaping Many Peoples Church.

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "In those days ten men from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, 'Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.' " (Based on Zechariah 8:23)
